Frequently Asked Questions

Instrument calibration is the process of comparing a scientific measurement instrument to a standard of known accuracy, to determine the reliability of the data the instrument is capturing. A calibration certificate is made available once an instrument has been laboratory calibrated to show the measured results for the instrument versus the measured results from the standard of known accuracy.

At Eurolec Instruments, we offer instrument calibration both at our specialist calibration laboratory and at your site, with no difference in the quality, precision or accuracy of our work.

With portable versions of our laboratory calibration equipment, we can save your organisation time and resource by calibrating your instruments directly at your premises, eradicating the risk of any potential downtime.

The frequency of calibration often depends on the instrument being calibrated and/or the industry you are operating in. The standard frequency for periodic verification is every year. However, some instruments may need to be calibrated more frequently.

We offer industry-standard points of calibration for thermometers, manometers, hygrometers, digital and analogue gauges, and data loggers. However, we understand that every business is different, which is why we offer custom calibration levels, depending on your needs.

Eurolec Instruments can calibrate a range of scientific measurement instrumentation, including:

  • Thermometers and temperature measurement instruments
  • Manometers and pressure measurement instruments
  • Hygrometers and relative humidity measurement instruments
  • Analogue and digital gauges
  • Temperature, pressure and relative humidity data loggers and process control sensors

Eurolec Instruments operates in a wide variety of industries, including:

  • Food processing and manufacturing
  • Catering and hospitality
  • Scientific research and development
  • Automotive
  • Construction
  • HVAC/R, air conditioning and refrigeration

We understand that although you will be using your instruments regularly, knowing how to set them up correctly is not always easy.
