Data Loggers & Monitoring

Our range of data loggers from Grant Instruments and testo includes those for logging temperature and humidity as well as general purpose data loggers that can be used for any kind of data.

About our range of and data logging Instruments

We supply a wide range of data loggers and data logging instruments for specific applications, including temperature and humidity, as well as general-purpose units that can be used to log data of any kind. Our range of data loggers includes instruments from well-known manufacturers Grant Instruments and testo.

A range of data logging instruments for all applications including:

  • USB data logging instruments
  • Wi-Fi data loggers
  • Single-channel data loggers
  • Multi-channel data loggers
  • Temperature data loggers
  • Humidity data loggers

What are data loggers used for?

Data loggers work in a similar way to standard thermometers and other measurement instruments, but rather than just displaying live data, they can store data over a long period. Data loggers are used when it’s necessary to record conditions over time and monitor how or if they change; most data logging instruments are battery-powered as they’re used where there isn’t access to an electrical supply.

Temperature data loggers may be used in commercial/walk-in fridges or freezers for HACCP compliance and humidity data loggers may be useful in HVAC climate monitoring.

Once plugged into a compatible computer, data loggers can produce reports that contain all of the data recorded by the instrument, which removes the need for measurements to be taken at set intervals and recorded manually. Some data loggers are available with Wi-Fi connectivity that can push data directly to a connected computer, further automating the process of data monitoring.

Why choose a data logger over a standard measurement instrument?

Data loggers can capture and process larger amounts of data that can easily be exported into reports, which are required for HACCP or other regulation compliance. They also help organisations avoid committing unnecessary amounts of resource to taking data readings manually and provide more comprehensive data, which often leads to better decisions being taken because of better data.
